MINUTES OF THE SEVENTEENTH MEETING OF THE

DERBYSHIRE CHRONIC PAIN SUPPORT GROUP COMMITTEE

The Seventeenth meeting of the Derbyshire Chronic Pain Support Group Committee was held on 4 August 2003, at the Guinness Trust Community Room, Sidney Street, Derby.

Attendees:    

Mark Charity (Chairperson), Margaret Whitehurst, (Membership Secretary),                 Ray Whitehurst, (Treasurer), Janet Owen (Secretary), Sandra Cuningham, Peggy Archer

1.     Apologies:     Naomi Memmory, Rae Ford, Val Perry

        Mark Charity (Chairperson) opened the meeting by welcoming, introducing and           thanking everyone who attended.

2.     Minutes from the last meting held on 13 May 2003  were approved and signed as a true         record.

3.           Statement of Funding and Finances

Ray stated that the figures at 1 July were £726.82 in the bank.   Petty cash of £40 was given to Mark for the purchase of Ink Cartridges for printer.    

4.     Review of AGM

It was agreed to review state of group in six weeks as to whether we remain as an Organisation or a Friendship group.

5.     Newsletter

Mark stated that the Newsletter could be sent out as a letter informing members of the Committees intentions regarding the group.   Sandra to give some pointers on how the letter should be worded. 

6.    Advertisements and Posters

Derek has produced a new poster for advertising the group these are to be printed and distributed by Mark.

7.    A.O.B.

Pain Clinic have been contacted regarding putting up a poster advertising the group.   Sandra to get back to Denise when she returns from holiday..

The Membership Secretary reported that at the moment the Group Membership for the coming year stands at 13.

8.    Date of Next Meeting

It was agreed that the next meeting be held on Tuesday 16 September 2003, 10.30 a.m. at the Guinness Trust Community Room, Sidney Street, Derby.
