MINUTES OF THE SIXTEENTH MEETING OF THE

DERBYSHIRE CHRONIC PAIN SUPPORT GROUP COMMITTEE

The Sixteenth meeting of the Derbyshire Chronic Pain Support Group Committee was held on 13 May 2003, at the Guinness Trust Community Room, Sidney Street, Derby.

 Attendees:    

Mark Charity (Chairperson), Margaret Whitehurst, (Membership Secretary),          Ray Whitehurst, (Treasurer), Janet Owen (Secretary) Valerie Perry, Paul Hearne, Eileen Hogg, Jacklin Moss, Sandra Cuningham,

1.     Apologies:     Naomi Memmory, Rae Ford

        Mark Charity (Chairperson) opened the meeting by welcoming, introducing and         thanking everyone who attended.

2.     Minutes from the last meting held on 1 April 2003 were approved and signed as a true  record.

3.           Statement of Funding and Finances

Ray stated we are still waiting for clarification from Derbyshire Community Foundation.  

This is the last financial statement before the AGM, accounts close on the 31 May, we need to get accounts audited, Mark to arrange.  

Fund total at the moment is £754.69p, £178 of this is Community Foundation Funding.   This leaves the group in a healthy situation.

4.     AGM Meeting 24 June 2003

A letter notifying all members of the AGM in June together with a Membership Form and copy of last AGM minutes are to be sent out two weeks beforehand.

Sandra and Naomi will arrange for refreshments to be available at the meeting.

5.     Newsletter

Eileen has given a poem to Jacklin and Margaret is to let her have an article for the Newsletter for this to be handed out at the AGM. .  

6.    A.O.B.

Letter from Derby City Libraries (lidnet) are doing their Annual Update and are asking us whether or not we wish to continue having our information about our organisation and contact details to remain on their community information database.

All agreed to this and reply to be sent.

Margaret will send cards to Christine Maltby and Rae Ford on behalf of the Group.

Renewal notice for the organisation PO Box address has been received at a cost of £53.00 for the year.

We have a speaker coming to our meeting on 8 July from DCIL.

7.    Date of Next Meeting

It was agreed that the next meeting be held on Tuesday 5 August 2003, 10.30 a.m. at the Guinness Trust Community Room, Sidney Street, Derby.
